CARPENTRY EDUCATION & CREATING
MID CENTURY BOXES AND SHELVES WITH CHAD,
OWNER OF THE FURNITURE JOINT
Students had the opportunity to use precut wooden walnut pieces to assemble, glue, sand, and finish their choice of mid century modern shelves and boxes while learning the basics of carpentry, fundamentals of wood types and tools and how to properly care for wooden items.
Food was provided by Biscuit Baby and beverages by Vive Juicery.
Students left class with a box of goods with items from local businesses The Minimalists, Scotti & Shorts, and Big Cartel such as books, desserts, and posters
but most importantly, their finished shelf or box.
